Antibiotics refer to a class of secondary metabolites produced by microorganisms (including bacteria, fungi, actinomycetes) or higher animals and plants in their daily lives, which have resistance to pathogens or other activities, and can interfere with the developmental functions of other living cells. The commonly used antibiotics in clinical practice include extracts from microbial culture media and compounds synthesized or semi synthesized by chemical methods. With the development of the antibiotic industry, the preparation of antibiotics has received widespread attention. The traditional process of refining antibiotics is not only cumbersome and low in yield, but also affects the quality of the product. Membrane technology, as a new type of separation technology, has been applied to the concentration of antibiotic fermentation broth, greatly improving the yield and quality of the product.

Taking antibiotics prepared by fermentation method as an example, the fermentation broth has a large volume and low antibiotic content. After the initial impurity removal and filtration, whether using resin separation or phase exchange refining, the resulting drug solution has a large volume and low content, and direct concentration consumes high energy. If thermal concentration is used, it may also lead to the thermal decomposition of antibiotics. Based on the situation of antibiotic fermentation broth and the characteristics of membrane separation technology, Shengchuan has developed a system for membrane concentration of antibiotic fermentation broth. Membrane technology is used to concentrate the fermentation broth at room temperature or low temperature, greatly improving the yield and quality of the product.
